Virtual Remote Physiotherapist Appointments

We undersatnd that getting access to high quality physiotherapy treatment can be difficult at the moment and this may be further complicated due to home isolation.

We are here to help and can now offer a Virtual Remote appointment with one of our fully qualified and HCPC registered Physiotherapists.

What is a Virtual Remote Appointment

One of our physiotherapists will contact you via video conference (or facetime if you have an apple device), to

  • Discuss your condition
  • Review progress since last treatment
  • Capture information about your past medical history
  • Develop a treatment plan with you
  • Provide you with exercise sheets and other documents relating to your condition (if appropriate)
  • Watch you performing your exercises, correcting any issues with technique
  • …. and get you on the road to recovery

Making an Appointment

We will ask you a few questions about your condition and your preference for treatment times, then suggest which of our Physiotherapists is best placed to meet your needs.

We can offer both day time and evening appointments to meet your schedule and can usually offer you an appointment within 24 Hours.

There is an answer machine service, in the event that our receptionist is busy or unavailable. The messages are picked up regularly and remotely, so please leave a message and we will get back to you. 

Making the technology easy (See below)

We have 3 methods of holding a virtual appointment:

  1. Video conference through a computer
  2. Facetime call via an Apple device
  3. Traditional consultation over the phone

We may also need to send you information via email or post (e.g. exercise sheets), but we will arrange this as part of the call.

At Rugby Physio we work hard to keep treatment fees as low as possible, whilst at the same time providing a first class, quality Physiotherapy Service.

We have a simple, pricing structure with no hidden extras.

Payment Methods & Invoicing

We will take payment over the phone when you book a Virtual Remote appointment, just have you credit or debit card handy when you call to book an appointment.

If you would like a receipt for the treatment, please let us know at the time of booking and we will arrange for a receipt to be attached to the Remote appointment confirmation email. If you have selected to receive a remote phone assessment, we will send the receipt by post.

Cancellation Policy

Payment is made in advance and we do ask for 24hours notice for any alternations or cancellations. We do understand that this is a difficult time for us all and recognise that you may have to cancel at short notice.

If you do become unwell, please could you call our reception team on 01788 565044 or 07961 378418 and they will re-arrange your appointment and waive the cancellation charge. If you do not contact us, we will have to make a charge for the missed appointment.

1. Computer

  • Call or email us to book a suitable appointment time and we will send you an email confirmation, which includes a link to the video call..
  • At your appointment time, simply click the link in the email and a video call will start on your web browser. Just wait for your Physiotherapist to join the call.
  • We will also send through some easy, step by step instructions on how to test your system prior to the video call to make sure you are ready.

 

2. Apple device

  • Call or email us to book a suitable appointment time and we will send you an email confirmation.
  • At your allotted time, we will call you on Facetime and your Apple device will alert you to an incoming Facetime Call.
  • Simply accept the facetime call on your Apple device.

 

3. Phone call

  • Call us to book a suitable appointment time.
  • At your appointment time, we will call you over the phone.
